Compatible with all Axis video network products, the AXIS T8129-E Outdoor PoE Extender supports PoE and complies with IEEE 802.3af, IEEE 802.3at, and High PoE 60 W standards. Featuring a rugged IP66/IP67-rated enclosure, the AXIS T8129-E withstands harsh environmental conditions and extreme temperatures.
The AXIS T8129-E Outdoor PoE Extender provides an intelligent and easy-to-install solution to extend your network range without the need for an additional power supply. Overcoming the 100 m (328 ft) Ethernet cable limitation, Axis video network products can be installed at greater distances. Simply connect the AXIS T8129-E inline with CAT5e or CAT6 cable, and power is delivered to your Axis video network product.
The range depends on the required power, so depending on the midspan and camera type, the total connection length can be between 200 and 400 meters (656–1312 feet). For example, a 25-watt PTZ dome camera can be located 200 m (656 ft) away using one AXIS T8129-E. Or a standard 5-watt network camera cable length can reach up to 400 m (1312 ft) by using three AXIS T8129-E units spaced every 100 m (328 ft).
No Additional Power Supply Needed
The AXIS T8129-E requires no extra power supply, as the connected network camera is powered by a single PoE switch or midspan. It offers two female Ethernet ports that automatically configure for connection speed, duplex, and crossover, maintaining full network performance.
