This full-height card supports SAS connectivity at 12 Gb/s and offers nine internal ports with up to 26 physical connections.
This SAS expansion card is ideal for DL380 Gen9 server users who want to configure a RAID array with more than eight internal hard drives or who want to add an additional drive cage for internal disks and configure RAID across all internal disks depending on the controller. This option kit includes all cables necessary to connect various SAS drive cages supported by the DL380 Gen9 server.

- The HP SAS Expansion Card enables internal expansion of storage capacity in the DL380 Gen9 server. The SAS expansion card works with a supported HP Smart Array or HP Smart HBA controller, delivering SAS connectivity at 12 Gb/s.

- Disks connected through the SAS expansion card are managed by the supported HP Smart Array controller or HP Smart HBA.
