With limited space in data centers and rising maintenance costs, network administrators are more than ever seeking solutions that reduce both costs and space requirements. ATEN LCD KVM switches offer a space-saving, streamlined approach to KVM switching technology, integrating an LCD panel, full keyboard, and touchpad in a 1U steel rack-mount enclosure. The CL1308 KVM switch features an integrated 19-inch LED-backlit LCD panel, enabling access and control of 8 computers from a single workstation (keyboard, mouse, and monitor). Up to eight additional switches can be cascaded, enabling control of a total of 128 computers from a single workstation keyboard-monitor-mouse. Mounting is quick and easy; simply connect the cables to the appropriate ports. The switch supports both USB and PS/2 connections for computers. The CL1308 captures keyboard data directly, eliminating the need for any software configuration. Switching between computers can be easily performed by pressing the front panel button, entering keyboard key combinations, or using the on-screen display (OSD) in a multilingual display system.
