With limited server space and rising maintenance costs, network administrators are more than ever seeking solutions that reduce both costs and space requirements. ATEN KVM switches offer a space-saving, streamlined approach to KVM switching by integrating an LCD panel, a full keyboard, and a touchpad into a 1U sliding enclosure.
The CL1308 KVM switch is equipped with an integrated 19-inch LED-lit LCD panel, enabling access and control of up to 8 computers from a single console (keyboard, mouse, and monitor). Up to 8 additional switches can be cascaded, yielding a total of 128 connected computers that can be controlled from a single keyboard-monitor-mouse console.
Configuration is quick and easy; simply connect cables to the appropriate ports. The switch supports both USB and PS/2 connections for computers. The CL1308 captures keyboard input directly, thereby eliminating the need for any software configuration. Switching between computers can be easily achieved by pressing a button on the front panel, using keyboard shortcut combinations, or via the multilingual On-Screen Display (OSD) menu.
