In the face of limited space in data center environments and rising maintenance costs, network administrators are more than ever seeking solutions that reduce both costs and space requirements. ATEN LCD KVM switches offer space-saving efficiency and a simplified approach to KVM switching technology, integrating an LCD panel, a full keyboard and a touchpad into a 1U rack-mount enclosure.
The CL1308 KVM switch is equipped with an integrated 19-inch LED-backed LCD panel that enables access to and control of up to 8 computers from a single console (keyboard, mouse and monitor). Up to 8 additional switches can be cascaded, enabling a total of 128 computers that can be controlled from a single keyboard-monitor-mouse console.
Configuration is quick and easy; simply connect cables to the appropriate ports. The switch supports both USB and PS/2 connections for computers. The CL1308 captures keyboard input directly, eliminating the need for any software configuration. Switching between computers can be easily performed by pressing the button on the front panel, entering keyboard key combinations, or using the menu-based On-Screen Display (OSD) in multiple languages.
