They also provide out-of-band access with support for an external modem to troubleshoot BIOS-level issues when the network is unavailable.

To facilitate management and control of the entire data center, our KVM over IP switches support rack-mount servers and enclosures. Thanks to powerful new features such as Power Association– KVM ports can be linked to ATEN PDU outlets to manage server power from the KVM over IP switch user interface.

KVM over IP switches now support the new Control Center Video Session Recorder (CCVSR) software. CCVSR records all operations performed on servers accessed through KVM over IP switches. Every operation and change—from BIOS level through login, from launched software applications to OS configuration— is recorded and saved in a secure file as video evidence without exception.

The Virtual Media feature enables mapping to storage media such as USB drives, hard disks and DVD/CD drives located on remote servers – enabling administrators to easily perform file transfers, install applications, run OS updates or perform network diagnostics.

Extended capabilities of KVM over IP switches also include: Announcement Board, Panel Array Mode™, Mouse DynaSync™, Adapter ID and secure access to a serial server. Secure access to serial devices includes networking equipment, UNIX servers, Linux servers, Sun servers and many other serial consoles. This provides installation without the need for expensive network keys.

With two integrated network cards and two power supplies, KVM over IP switches are reliable and provide round-the-clock remote access to all computers in data centers.
