Analog to Digital Conversion
The AXIS T8640 Ethernet over Coax PoE+ Adapter is the ideal solution for network camera installations where coaxial cables are already in place and can be very long or inaccessible. The AXIS T8640 enables IP communication over existing coaxial video cables, converting an analog system to digital.
Full Network Connection Speed
The AXIS T8640 consists of the AXIS T8641 PoE+ Ethernet over Coax base unit and the AXIS T8642 PoE+ Ethernet over Coax device unit. It is also suitable for installations requiring PoE transmission beyond 100 m (328 feet). Full network connection speed is delivered over cable lengths up to 500 m, significantly exceeding most recommended distances for analog video installations. Optional power supply can be used if PoE is unavailable or if higher power is needed for the network camera. Please refer to the Settings or Range tab for additional information.
Easy Installation
To facilitate installation and ensure guaranteed performance, the AXIS T8640 features an intuitive LED display that confirms network and power status over the cable, eliminating the need to access remote equipment to verify connections.
