The XD5-40d is a mid-range 4-inch (118 mm) label and barcode printer featuring a compact clamshell design and versatile software capabilities, making it ideal for labeling applications in manufacturing, transportation and logistics, retail, and healthcare sectors. Available in resolution options XD5-40d (203 dpi) and XD5-43d (300 dpi), the standard XD5-40d model offers fast data processing and print speeds up to 7 ips (178 mm/s), with expanded memory up to 256 MB SDRAM and 256 MB Flash.
Supporting multiple connectivity options, the XD5-40d comes standard with dual USB 2.0 and USB Host ports, and optional Dual-WLAN, Dual-Bluetooth, Serial, or Ethernet interfaces. The USB Host port enables duplication of existing printer settings and data to other printers on the network via the Twin Function™ feature. The XD5-40d is compatible with leading programming languages including SLCS™, BPL-Z™, and BPL-E™. It is supplied with comprehensive firmware and software options, including browser-based printer profile management via BIXOLON's XPM™ and a simple network management protocol (MIB file). It also supports label design software such as Label Artist-II™ and BarTender® by BIXOLON.
