Hardware Root of Trust enables enhanced security
Innovative security features of NETWORK-M3 leverage a secure boot process that authenticates any attached firmware to ensure its authorized status and acts as a bottleneck to prevent the spread of a cyberattack if any threat occurs. This "zero-trust architecture" detects breaches and blocks sensitive information, delivering a level of security you can rely on. Email notifications are sent via secure SMTP and can be integrated with Google Workspace and Office 365.
Extensive compatibility with Eaton power management software
NETWORK-M3 works with a range of Brightlayer Data Centers Suite power management software solutions that provide deep IT energy-use insights needed to optimize operations and plan for future needs. They also enable broad automation and remote management and control, reducing response times to power issues and increasing fault tolerance. The Brightlayer Data Centers software suite includes: Data Center Performance Management (DCPM), Distributed IT Performance Management (DITPM), Visual Power Manager (VPM), Intelligent Power Manager (IPM), Visual Capacity Optimization Manager (VCOM) and cloud-based remote monitoring services (PredictPulse in North and South America, Cyber Secured Monitoring (CSM) in Europe, the Middle East and Africa).
Enables remote management of UPS and PDU
NETWORK-M3 turns a compatible UPS or PDU into a managed device on the network. It enables remote UPS management by reducing load and performing safe shutdowns, and rebooting protected devices connected to load segments. It monitors on-site electrical data, UPS self-test logs, notification logs and recorded energy events such as blackouts, brownouts and overvoltage conditions. You can receive alert notifications by email or SMS. The real-time clock connects to a Network Time Protocol (NTP) server to keep the current day and date even when the UPS is powered off.
Provides convenient operation
Zero-touch provisioning automatically accelerates the device provisioning process, dramatically reducing time in large deployments. The Certificate Manager helps create and distribute digital certificates to multiple devices, reducing administrative burden and simplifying UPS management. The NETWORK-M3 remote management card enables real-time monitoring from Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge browsers.
Supports multiple protocols
This Gigabit network card provides comprehensive support for IP protocols such as HTTPS 1.1, MQTTS, TLS 1.2, SNMPv1, SNMPv3, NTP, SMTPS, BOOTP/DHCP, CLI, SSH, ARP and Syslog, ensuring proper alarm and notification communication. DHCP support/manual configuration enables automatic or manual assignment of network settings.
Compatible with a wide range of platforms and networking devices
Support for 10/100/1000 Mbps Gigabit networks makes NETWORK-M3 compatible with high-performance, cost-effective, and widely deployed networks. REST API simplifies integration with other systems, provides real-time data, supports scalability and automates M2M interactions, all of which can help improve UPS system security, reliability and performance. You can connect to the field bus via RS-232/RS-485 (Modbus).
Optional sensor monitors environmental conditions
EMPDT1H1C2 Gen 2 environmental monitoring probe (sold separately) provides remote monitoring of temperature and humidity, as well as a dry-contact interface for monitoring alarms, safeguarding devices and telecommunications equipment. You can connect up to three EMPDT1H1C2 probes to the host, enabling multiple sensors.
