Aruba Instant On 1830 48G 24P PoE Class 4 4SFP 370W Switch
The Aruba Instant On 1830 switch series provides an easy-to-use, affordable wired solution for networks supporting IT, mobile, and cloud applications.
This affordable and easy-to-deploy line of smart-managed switches is ideal for small businesses seeking cost-effective wired infrastructure to keep up with evolving network requirements. These basic, smart-managed switches offer Layer 2 switching capabilities, Gigabit connectivity, and flexible management modes — all at an affordable price. With a flexible management dashboard, PoE options (Power over Ethernet), and energy-efficient features, these switches deliver a robust business network for small and medium-sized enterprises with tight budgets.
Feature
Gigabit connectivity for small businesses
- The Aruba Instant On 1830 switch series is a smartly managed Layer 2 Ethernet switch family ready for deployment in six models, consisting of 8-, 24-, and 48-port variants for non-PoE models and PoE Class 4 models.
- Two (2) and four (4) dedicated 1G SFP fiber ports in the 24- and 48-port models respectively, to eliminate bottlenecks in network traffic.
- With PoE models, you get up to 30W PoE power available for Class 4 PoE devices such as access points, surveillance cameras, and VoIP phones. The 8-port, 24-port, and 48-port PoE models have power budgets of 65W, 195W, and 370W respectively to support the latest IoT devices.
- The 8-port non-PoE switch can be powered by an upstream PoE switch in environments where network power is unavailable.
Simplify deployment and management of your network
- The Aruba Instant On 1830 switch series features easy-to-use, plug-and-play deployment.
- Switches can be deployed using two management modes — Instant On cloud management (accessible via mobile app and/or web portal) and local web GUI.
- Class 4 PoE options enable powering devices such as IP phones, surveillance cameras, and access points without additional cabling costs.
Protect your business with integrated security features
- The Aruba Instant On 1830 switch series has been enhanced with security features such as IEEE 802.1x, Global Storm Control, TPM-based module security, and VLANs to protect your network from unwanted or unauthorized access.
- Use 802.1X with a RADIUS server to ensure that only known and authorized users can access your network.
- Supports DoS monitoring and protects the network from malicious attacks.
Improved energy-saving features to reduce your carbon footprint
- The Aruba Instant On 1830 switch series includes Energy Efficient Ethernet (EEE) and complies with 802.3az to save energy during periods of low data activity.
- Energy-efficient cooling includes variable-speed fans that run only at speeds required to maintain the proper operating temperature, reducing excessive noise and power consumption.
- Offers compact, fanless 8-port and 24-port non-PoE models for acoustically sensitive environments.
- PoE scheduling lets users configure a specific day/time window (e.g., business hours) during which the Instant On switches will power connected devices (e.g., surveillance cameras, access points, etc.).
