The Aruba Instant On 1960 switches are built to support today’s bandwidth-intensive applications, such as voice and video conferencing, enabling persistent connectivity to improve user experiences and application performance. Features
High-performance Gigabit with 10GbE for advanced small businesses
- Each Aruba Instant On 1960 switch model includes four 10GbE connections for connecting servers, network storage devices, or other switches.
- Two 10GBASE-T connections deliver 10GbE over Category 6a copper cabling for simple, cost-effective, high-bandwidth connections up to a maximum distance of 100 meters.
- In PoE models, PoE power delivery up to 30W for PoE Class 4 devices such as access points, surveillance cameras, and VoIP phones, and up to 60W for PoE Class 6 devices such as PTZ cameras and IP video phones.
Simplified deployment and network management for small organizations
- The Aruba Instant On 1960 switch series offers a complete range of options to increase flexibility for small businesses. It comprises five models, including two (2) 24-port models and two (2) 48-port models in PoE and non-PoE configurations, plus a 12-port 10-Gigabit aggregation switch.
- The 24-port and 48-port PoE models have power budgets of 370W and 600W, respectively, to support the latest PoE-powered IoT devices.
- The Aruba Instant On 1960 series can be deployed in two management modes — cloud management via Instant On (accessible via mobile app and/or web portal) and local on-network GUI.
- Each switch includes a detachable tag on the front panel, referred to as a luggage tag.
- The tag contains a QR code that holds switch identification information (SKU number, SKU name, serial number, and MAC address) to facilitate adding the switch via the Instant On mobile app.
Ease of use with cloud management and stacking
- The Aruba Instant On mobile app and cloud portal simplify cloud-managed stacking — simply follow the prompts to connect up to four Aruba Instant On 1960 switches and manage them as a single unit.
- The Aruba Instant On mobile app automatically detects members, making it easier to configure and manage multiple stack members remotely.
- Automated configurations and streamlined workflows allow users to manage all stack members from a single, unified dashboard without rebooting devices.
Robust security protecting your network
- The Aruba Instant On 1960 series supports VLANs and access control lists to determine which data is visible to which users.
- Use 802.1X with a RADIUS server to ensure that only known and authorized users have access to your network.
- It supports automatic monitoring and protection against denial-of-service (DoS) attacks, safeguarding the network from malicious activity.
