Features
- Each Aruba Instant On 1960 switch model includes four 10GbE ports for connecting servers, networked storage devices, or other switches.
- Two 10GBASE-T ports provide 10GbE over Category 6a copper cabling for straightforward, cost-effective high-bandwidth connections up to a maximum distance of 100 meters.
- In PoE models, PoE power up to 30W is available for Class 4 PoE devices such as access points, surveillance cameras, and VoIP phones, and up to 60W for Class 6 PoE devices such as pan/tilt-zoom cameras and video IP phones.
Ease of deployment and network management for small organizations
- The Aruba Instant On 1960 switch series offers a full portfolio of options to increase flexibility for small businesses. It consists of five models, including two (2) 24-port models and two (2) 48-port models in PoE and non-PoE configurations, and a 12-port 10-Gigabit aggregation switch.
- The 24- and 48-port PoE models have power budgets of 370W and 600W, respectively, to support newer PoE-powered IoT devices.
- The Aruba Instant On 1960 series can be deployed using two management modes – cloud-based Instant On management (accessible via the mobile app and/or web portal) and a local web interface.
- Each switch features a removable tag on the front panel, known as the asset tag.
- The tag includes a QR code containing the switch identifier information (SKU number, SKU name, serial number, and MAC address) for easy addition of the switch via the Instant On mobile app.
Cloud-managed stack usability
- The Aruba Instant On mobile app and cloud-based web portal simplify stack management – simply follow the prompts to build a stack consisting of up to four Aruba Instant On 1960 switches and manage them as a single unit.
- The Aruba Instant On mobile app automatically detects members, making it easier to configure and remotely manage multiple stack members.
- Automatic configurations and streamlined workflows enable users to manage all stack members from a single dashboard without needing to reboot the device.
Robust security for protecting your network
- The Aruba Instant On 1960 series supports VLANs and access control lists to enforce data access restrictions for different users.
- Use 802.1X with a RADIUS server to ensure that only known, authorized users have access to your network.
- It supports automatic Denial of Service (DoS) attack prevention monitors and protects the network from malicious attacks.
