These switches offer flexible management options: local web UI or Instant On mobile app and cloud-based web portal.
Features
Premium Gigabit with 10GbE networking for advanced small businesses
- Each model in the Aruba Instant On 1960 switch family includes four 10GbE connections for connecting to servers, networked storage devices, or other switches.
- Two 10GBASE-T connections provide 10GbE over Category 6a copper cabling, enabling simple, cost-effective high-bandwidth connections up to 100 meters in length.
- In PoE models, PoE power is available up to 30W for PoE Class 4 devices such as access points, surveillance cameras, and VoIP phones, and up to 60W PoE for PoE Class 6 devices such as pan-tilt-zoom cameras and IP video-enabled phones.
Deployment and management simplicity for small organizations
- The Aruba Instant On 1960 switch series offers a complete portfolio of options to increase flexibility for small businesses. It consists of five models, including two 24-port models and two 48-port models in PoE and non-PoE configurations, and a 12-port 10-Gigabit aggregation switch.
- PoE 24-port and 48-port models have power budgets of 370W and 600W respectively to support the latest PoE-powered IoT devices.
- The Aruba Instant On 1960 series can be deployed using two management modes – Instant On cloud management (accessible via mobile app and/or web portal) and the local web interface.
- Each switch includes a pull tag on the front panel, referred to as a luggage tag.
- The tag contains a QR code that encodes the switch’s identification information (SKU number, SKU name, serial number, and MAC address) for easy onboarding using the Instant On mobile app.
Ease of use with cloud-managed stacking
- The Aruba Instant On mobile app and cloud-based web portal make cloud-managed stacking simple — just follow the prompts to stack up to four Aruba Instant On 1960 switches and manage them as a single unit.
- The Aruba Instant On mobile app automatically detects members, making it easier to configure and remotely manage multiple stack members.
- Automated configurations and streamlined workflows enable users to manage all stack members from a single common dashboard without the need to reboot the devices.
Robust security to protect your network
- The Aruba Instant On 1960 series enables VLANs and Access Control Lists (ACLs) to set boundaries for what data can be seen by whom.
- Use 802.1X with a RADIUS server to ensure network access only for known and authorized users.
- Supports DoS monitoring and protects the network from malicious attacks.
