Aruba Instant On 1960 switches are advanced, intelligently managed, fixed Gigabit switches that can be stacked, designed for small and growing businesses that are easy to deploy and affordable. These switches are designed to scale with business growth, making it easier to add new employees, devices, and applications. Aruba Instant On 1960 switches are built to support today’s high-bandwidth applications such as video conferencing, delivering stable connectivity to improve user experiences and application performance. These switches offer flexible management options: a local web interface or the Instant On mobile app and a cloud-based portal.
Features
High‑Quality Gigabit with 10GbE for Advanced Small Businesses
- Each Aruba Instant On 1960 switch model includes four 10GbE connections for connecting to servers, networked storage devices, or other switches.
- Two 10GBASE-T connections deliver 10GbE over Category 6a copper cabling, enabling simple, affordable, high‑bandwidth connections up to 100 meters.
- In PoE models, PoE power delivery is up to 30W for PoE Class 4 devices such as access points, surveillance cameras, and VoIP phones, and up to 60W for PoE Class 6 devices such as PTZ and tilt/zoom cameras and IP video phones.
Deployment and network management ease for small organizations
- The Aruba Instant On 1960 switch series offers a complete portfolio for greater flexibility for small businesses. It comprises five models, including two (2) 24-port models and two (2) 48-port models in PoE and non-PoE configurations, and a 12-port 10-Gigabit aggregation switch.
- PoE 24‑port and 48‑port models have power budgets of 370W and 600W, respectively, to support the latest PoE‑powered IoT devices.
- The Aruba Instant On 1960 series can be deployed using two management modes – cloud management via Instant On (accessible via mobile app and/or web portal) and a local web interface.
- Each switch features a removable luggage tag on the front panel.
- The tag contains a QR code that holds switch identification information (SKU number, SKU name, serial number, and MAC address) for easy onboarding of the switch via the Instant On mobile app.
Ease of use with cloud-based stacking management
- The Aruba Instant On mobile app and cloud-based web portal simplify cloud-based stack management – simply follow prompts to connect up to four (4) Aruba Instant On 1960 switches and manage them as a single unit.
- The Aruba Instant On mobile app automatically discovers members, making it easy to configure and remotely manage multiple stack members.
- Automatic configurations and streamlined workflows allow users to manage all stack members from a single control panel, without rebooting devices.
Robust security to protect your network
- The Aruba Instant On 1960 switch series supports VLANs and access control lists to restrict what data can be seen by which users.
- Use 802.1X with a RADIUS server to ensure that only known and authorized users can access your network.
- Supports DoS attack prevention monitoring and protects the network from malicious attacks.
