This Lindy USB 3.2 Gen 1 Cat.6A extender can be used to extend the distance between USB peripheral devices and the host computer to a maximum of 100 m. It supports multiple USB signals, control, mass storage data transfer, interrupts, and isochronous transfers.← To connect between the transmitter and receiver at the maximum supported distance of 100 m (328.08 ft), a standard Cat.6A or better network cable is used (not included). It is also possible to achieve distances up to 40 m using Cat.6 cable.
The extender features Power over Cable, which requires only connecting one power supply to either the transmitter or the receiver unit. The 4 USB Type-A ports on the receiver can also deliver 5V power to connected devices; 2 ports support up to 1.5A each, and 2 ports support up to 1A each.
Status LEDs help the user verify power, the link between transmitter and receiver, and whether data transfer is in progress, while the additional RS232 and FSYNC GPIO through ports enable bidirectional commands, also for industrial cameras.
With a rugged metal housing and mounting brackets, this extender is ideal for professional applications and industrial environments.
Additionally, the power supply is connected via a screw-terminal DC jack, providing a safer and more reliable connection, ideal for professional installations where accidental disconnections could pose a serious problem.
Note: To cover long distances near the 100 m limit, we recommend using Cat6A (or better) cables approved for HDBaseT.
