UPOE-1600G is a high-density managed rack-mount hub that provides PLANET Smart PoE features via a web-based network interface for remote management. It includes 16 Ethernet 10/100/1000BASE-T ports with Ultra PoE injection and a total PoE budget of 600 watts. Each PoE port can deliver up to 60 watts over Cat.5/5e/6 UTP cables, enabling simultaneous data and power transmission to remote powered devices (PD) up to 60W and powered by 802.3at/af. UPOE-1600G enables centralized power management and optimizes installation and management of power for remote network devices, delivering fast, secure, and cost-effective Power over Ethernet for small businesses and enterprises.
Fast and Easy PoE Network Installation
UPOE-1600G is installed between a standard Ethernet switch and the PD. The front panel of the UPOE-1600G provides a total of 32 RJ45 STP ports, of which 16 ports are on the lower layer serving as the "Data Input", while the remaining 16 ports are on the upper layer serving as the "PoE Output (Data & Power)". Both power and data are transmitted simultaneously over UTP cables to the PD without affecting the operation and features of the existing network.
Thanks to data and power delivery via Ethernet from a single device, the UPOE-1600G can reduce the need for power cabling and eliminate the requirement for dedicated power outlets on walls, ceilings, or other hard-to-reach locations.
Ready for 802.3bt - 60 Watts Power via 4-Pair UTP System
The Ultra PoE solution UPOE-1600G adopts the IEEE 802.3at/af PoE standard. Rather than delivering power over two-pair twisted UTP—whether end-span (Pins 1, 2, 3 and 6) or mid-span (Pins 4, 5, 7 and 8)—it provides the ability to deliver up to 60 watts of power using all four pairs of standard Cat5e/6 Ethernet cables. In the four-pair system, UPOE-1600G can deliver up to 60 watts per port to every PoE-powered device. It offers double the power capability versus conventional PoE 802.3at and is ideal for growing PD power requirements such as:

- Any network device requiring higher PoE power for normal operation
- Thin client
- All-in-One PC (AIO), Point of Sale (POS) and information kiosks
- Remote digital signage display
User-friendly Web Management Interface
To effectively manage powered devices, UPOE-1600G provides a simple web-based management interface where administrators can control the system and PoE features for powered devices. It automatically detects the power status of each port and displays notifications in the network management interface. These features also provide users with a cost-effective way to manage the device remotely via the Internet when at work or at home.

Intelligent Monitoring of Powered Device Status
PLANET managed PoE products embrace not only Power over Ethernet technology but also automated PD monitoring and real-time PoE status. UPOE-1600G can be configured to monitor the status of connected PDs in real time via ping actions from the uplinked Ethernet switch. If a PD stops functioning or stops responding, the UPOE-1600G will reset the PoE power on the port and restore PD operation. This significantly increases network reliability as the PoE port resets PD power, reducing administrative load.
PoE Scheduling for Energy Savings
In response to the global energy-saving trend and environmental protection efforts, UPOE-1600G can effectively manage power consumption in addition to delivering high power. The built-in "PoE Scheduling" feature allows enabling or disabling PoE power for each PoE port at specified time intervals, providing a powerful capability to help small and medium-sized enterprises save energy and money. It also enhances security by disabling PDs that should not be active during off-hours.
Advanced PoE Power Output Mode Management
To meet the needs of various powered devices requiring stable PoE power, UPOE-1600G offers three selectable PoE power output modes:

Advanced Power Management
To simplify power management, the UPOE-1600G includes robust PoE management features such as overheating protection, power-threshold alerts, and automatic power allocation to prevent exceeding the PoE budget. The PoE budget can be allocated by priority or class, and event logs are generated when power usage reaches a defined threshold.
Intelligent LED Indicator for Real-Time PoE Power Usage
The UPOE-1600G provides real-time visibility of PoE power consumption via an advanced LED indicator system. Four green LEDs on the front panel indicate PoE power usage levels of 150W, 300W, 450W and 600W.
PoE Power Consumption Monitoring
With a power-usage chart in the web management interface, the UPOE-1600G enables administrators to monitor the real-time energy usage of connected PDs.
High PoE Budget for Extending 802.3at PoE
With IEEE 802.3af/802.3at PoE output, the UPOE-1600G can extend reach using PLANET PoE extenders to power PoE PDs installed beyond 100 meters. Connecting multiple PLANET PoE extenders provides significant flexibility to double, triple, or quadruple the PoE network reach.

The UPOE-1600G provides the easiest way to power Ethernet devices such as ceiling-mounted IP cameras and rooftop wireless access points. With 16 Gigabit Ethernet 10/100/1000BASE-T ports, the UPOE-1600G supports full 52V DC power for any remote PoE device up to 60W and devices powered by IEEE 802.3af/IEEE 802.3at (PD).
To control the power system for your network devices, the UPOE-1600G can work directly with network devices such as PoE IP phones to establish a VoIP telecommunications network in an office. The Ultra PoE Hub can be connected directly to any IEEE 802.3af/802.3at compliant device located up to 100 meters away. Moreover, the UPOE-1600G can extend the distance using PLANET PoE extenders to power PoE PDs installed beyond 100 meters.
