UPOE-1600G is a high-density, rack-mount managed hub that offers PLANET's intelligent PoE features via a web-based user interface for remote management. It features 16 Ethernet ports 10/100/1000BASE-T with Ultra PoE injector function and a total PoE budget of 600 watts. Each PoE port can deliver up to 60 watts over Cat.5/5e/6 UTP cables, enabling simultaneous data and power transmission to a remotely powered device (PD) up to 60W and powered by 802.3at/af. UPOE-1600G enables centralized power and optimizes installation and power management of remote network devices, delivering fast, secure, and cost-effective Power over Ethernet solutions for small businesses and enterprises.
Fast and Easy PoE Network Installation
UPOE-1600G is installed between a standard Ethernet switch and a PD. On the front panel of UPOE-1600G there are a total of 32 RJ45 STP ports, of which 16 ports are located on the lower layer, functioning as the "Data In", while the remaining 16 ports are on the upper layer, functioning as the "PoE Output (Data and Power)". Both power and data are transmitted simultaneously over UTP cables to PDs without impacting the operation and functionality of the existing network.
By providing data and power over Ethernet from a single device, UPOE-1600G can reduce the need for power cabling and eliminate the requirement for dedicated power outlets on walls, ceilings, or other hard-to-reach locations.
Ready for 802.3bt - 60 Watts of Power over a 4-Pair UTP System
The Ultra PoE solution UPOE-1600G adopts IEEE PoE 802.3at/af standard. Rather than delivering power through a 2-pair twisted UTP—whether end-span (Pins 1, 2, 3, and 6) or mid-span (Pins 4, 5, 7, and 8)—it enables delivery of up to 60 watts of power using all four standard Ethernet cable pairs (Cat.5e/6). In the four-pair system, UPOE-1600G can deliver up to 60 watts per port to any PoE-compliant PD. It offers double the power capabilities compared with conventional PoE 802.3at and is ideal for growing PD devices that require more power, such as:
- PoE PTZ camera
- Any network device needing higher PoE power for normal operation
- Thin-client
- AIO computer (all-in-one), POS and information kiosks
- Remote digital signage display
User-friendly Web Management Interface
To effectively manage powered devices, UPOE-1600G provides a simple web-based management interface where administrators can control the system and PoE features for powered devices. It automatically detects the power status of each port and displays messages in the network management interface. These features also provide users with a cost-effective way to manage the device via the Internet whether at work or at home.

Intelligent Power Status Checking for Powered Devices
Planet’s managed PoE products embrace not only Power over Ethernet technology but also automated PD monitoring and real-time PoE status. UPOE-1600G can be configured to monitor the status of connected PDs in real time via a ping action from the uplink Ethernet switch. When a PD stops operating and responding, UPOE-1600G will reset the PoE port power and restore PD operation. This greatly improves network reliability because the PoE port resets PD power, reducing administrative overhead.
PoE Scheduling for Energy Savings
In light of the global trend toward energy efficiency and environmental protection, UPOE-1600G can effectively control power delivery in addition to its high-power capability. The built-in "PoE Scheduling" feature allows turning PoE power on or off for each PoE port at specified intervals, providing a powerful tool to help small and medium businesses save energy and money. It also enhances security by turning off PDs that should not be used during non-working hours.
Advanced PoE Power Output Mode Management
To accommodate the needs of various powered devices requiring stable PoE power, UPOE-1600G offers three PoE power output modes to choose from.

To simplify power management, UPOE-1600G includes robust PoE management features such as thermal protection, power-threshold alerts and automatic power allocation to prevent overloading the power budget. The PoE power budget can be allocated according to priority or classification, with event logs generated when power usage reaches a defined threshold.
Intelligent LED Indicator for Real-Time PoE Power Use
UPOE-1600G helps users monitor current PoE power consumption with an advanced LED indicator system. Referred to as "PoE Power Consumption", the front panel of UPOE-1600G features four green LEDs indicating 150W, 300W, 450W and 600W PoE power usage.
PoE Usage Monitoring
Thanks to the power usage chart in the Web management interface, UPOE-1600G enables the administrator to monitor real-time energy consumption of connected PDs.
High PoE Budget for 802.3at Expansion
With PoE output capability for IEEE 802.3af/802.3at, UPOE-1600G can extend the distance by using PLANET PoE extenders to power PoE PDs that can be installed over 100 meters away. By chaining PLANET PoE extenders, it offers great flexibility to double, triple or quadruple the PoE network reach.

UPOE-1600G features a low-noise design and an efficient cooling system. It supports intelligent fan technology that automatically adjusts the speed of the built-in fan to reduce noise and maintain optimal operating temperature for the Ultra PoE Managed Injector Hub. UPOE-1600G operates reliably, stably and quietly in any environment without impacting performance.
Gigabit Ultra PoE and PoE+ Network Deployment
UPOE-1600G provides the easiest way to power Ethernet devices such as ceiling-mounted IP cameras and rooftop wireless access points. With 16 Gigabit Ethernet ports (10/100/1000BASE-T), UPOE-1600G supports up to 52V DC full power for any PoE PD up to 60W and devices powered by IEEE 802.3af/IEEE 802.3at (PD).
To control the power system of your network devices, UPOE-1600G can work directly with network devices such as PoE IP phones to build a VoIP telecommunications network in the office. The Ultra PoE Hub can be directly connected to any IEEE 802.3af/802.3at compliant device located up to 100 meters away. Furthermore, UPOE-1600G can extend the distance by using PLANET PoE extenders to power PoE PDs that can be installed beyond 100 meters.
