The PLANET GSW-2620VHP is an ideal Plug and Watch Power over Ethernet solution that provides quick installation, real-time PoE status monitoring, and instant troubleshooting via a unique LCD display, enhancing work efficiency and quality without the need for a computer or software.
The GSW-2620VHP features 24 10/100/1000BASE-T copper PoE+ 802.3at ports delivering 30 watts each, plus 2 additional 1000BASE-X SFP slots with an internal power system. With a total PoE power budget of 300 watts and non-blocking data switching performance, the GSW-2620VHP meets the power requirements for HD IP surveillance. It offers a reliable and visible power solution in a desktop size for small businesses and system integrators deploying Power over Ethernet networks.
Intelligent and Intuitive LCD Control
The GSW-2620VHP provides an intuitive color panel on its front panel that facilitates Ethernet and PoE PD management. This significantly improves network management efficiency in large-scale environments such as enterprises, hotels, shopping malls, government buildings, and other public venues, offering the following special management and status features:

Standard, VLAN, and Extended Operating Modes
The GSW-2620VHP supports standard, VLAN, and extended operating modes. In standard mode, it functions as a normal IEEE 802.3af/at PoE switch. The VLAN mode offers port-based VLAN functionality to help prevent multicast or broadcast storms from IP cameras.
In extended mode, the GSW-2620VHP operates per port at 10Mbps full duplex but can deliver 20 watts PoE output up to 250 meters, overcoming the 100-meter limitation of UTP Ethernet cables. This new feature provides an additional solution to extend 802.3af/at PoE distance, saving Ethernet cable installation costs. Its VLAN isolation function isolates ports to prevent broadcast storms and defend against DHCP spoofing in extended mode.
Flexible Extension Solution
The two built-in mini-GBIC slots in the GSW-2620VHP are compatible with 1000BASE-SX/LX SFP fiber transceivers, connecting to core switches and monitoring centers over long distances. The distance can be extended from 550 meters (multimode fiber) up to 10/20/30/40/50/60/70/120 kilometers (single-mode fiber or WDM fiber). This makes it ideal for enterprise data centers and distribution applications.
Robust Protection
The GSW-2620VHP provides ±6KV DC contact discharge and ±8KV DC air discharge ESD protection for Ethernet. It also supports ±6KV surge immunity to enhance product stability and protect user networks from destructive ESD attacks, ensuring stable operation.
Easy Installation and Cabling
Since data and power are transmitted over a single cable, the GSW-2620VHP requires no additional cables or power outlets on walls, ceilings, or inaccessible locations. This helps reduce installation costs and simplifies installation efforts. All RJ45 copper interfaces support automatic 10/100/1000Mbps negotiation for optimal speed detection using Cat6, Cat5, or Cat5e cables. It also supports standard auto-MDI/MDI-X, detecting connection types with any Ethernet device without the need for special straight or crossover cables.
