The GS-4210-24P(L)4C can be configured to monitor the real-time status of connected PDs (Powered Devices) via a ping action. When a PD fails to operate and respond, the GS-4210-24P(L)4C will resume PoE port power and restore the PD to operation. This significantly increases network reliability by resetting the PD power source on the PoE port, reducing administrative overhead.
Scheduled power reboot
The GS-4210-24P(L)4C allows rebooting any connected PoE IP cameras or PoE access points at a specified time each week. This reduces the risk of IP camera or AP failure caused by buffer overflow.
PoE Scheduling for energy saving
In line with the global trend of energy conservation and environmental protection, the GS-4210-24P(L)4C can effectively control power delivery while delivering high power. In Extension mode, the GS-4210-24P(L)4C operates per-port in a 10Mbps duplex mode, but can support 36W PoE output at distances up to 250 meters, overcoming the 100 m limit for UTP Ethernet cable. With this new capability, the GS-4210-24P(L)4C provides an additional solution for extending PoE distance for 802.3at/af, reducing Ethernet cabling costs.

Its protection mechanism also includes port-based authentication of users and devices via 802.1X, which can be used with RADIUS and TACACS+ to provide port-level security and block unauthorized users. Alternatively, via these dual-speed SFP ports you can also connect to 100BASE-FX/1000BASE-SX/LX fiber transceivers to uplink to a core switch and monitoring center over long distances. Distance can be extended from 550 meters to 2 kilometers (multimode fiber) and to over 10/20/40/60/80/120 kilometers (single-mode fiber or WDM). Ideal for use in enterprise data centers and distribution.
Intelligent SFP diagnostics
The GS-4210-24P(L)4C supports SFP-DDM (Digital Diagnostic Monitor), enabling easy monitoring of real-time SFP parameters for the network administrator, such as optical output power, optical input power, temperature, laser current, and transceiver supply voltage.
